And that adventure he had found with the clickin’ and the windin’ of the LomoKino! Starting with a Diana Mini, this local from Berlin had found more analogue love with our glorious analogue movie maker! Know more about Steffen, this week’s Community LomoKino LomoAmigo, in our interview with him.

Full Name: Steffen Fischer
Lomography Username: schdaewn
Location: Berlin, Germany

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

Hey there, I live in Berlin and I’m a male nurse at a hospital. My interests are all about analogue photography. My normal job is not very creative so I spend all my freetime in analogue photography and playing drums.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

I’m a Lomographer for two years now. I have seen the colorful pictures on the internet and I was totally excited. Someday I stood in front of the Lomography store here in Berlin and thought “I really need a camera." A few days later my girlfriend had a present for me and I held the Diana Mini in my hands.

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Fun, action, click, click and click.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

The shooting with the LomoKino is a lot of fun. I like the fast sound of its clicking and the spinning of its winder. It’s a nostalgic feeling.

Urban Streets

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

I have seen the first videos from the LomoKino and was totally in love with this old looking shape. My first thought was “I have to make a movie with this good looking camera.”

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

Just a lot of strange glances.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

My favorite actress is my girlfriend. I like to film her with the LomoKino but a movie with Audrey Hepburn would be a good idea.

Traum

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

This is one of my favorite movies. I like the idea and the execution.

Shadow Play by maria_vlachou

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I have a lot of ideas for the future. I will make a movie like “Blair Witch Project," a longer movie and some experiment with sounds like in a real movie.

Your advice to future LomoKino users?

Buy a lot of filmrolls and spin like you are crazy.
