Naoshima Island

by takezzo
posted 10 months ago
4 comments and 1 voteNaoshima is located in the middle of Setonai-kai inland sea near Takamatsu. It must have been a quiet fishermen's island until Benesse Corporation (originally an educational publisher) came and built their museum/hotel facility. Then they invited worldly famous artists/architects to participate their projects on the island.

Top of the Tower

by ethermoon
posted 10 months agoDuring the Olympics, me and some of my friends had a time to hang-out over their place. Well not really tall and high, only 15 floors high, but it is really a great scene and view to experience sitting there and watching the sunset, the big river, the whole city and even some islands.

The Magic Mystery Of Multiple Exposure

by lucasjakobsson
posted 10 months agoThere’s something very exciting about not knowing what’s coming up next. Pleasant surprises, adrenaline rushes, and knock-your-socks-off kind of shocks – the feelings that you get with multiple exposures! Just in case you have not discovered this wonderful technique yet – multiple exposure is a method where you expose the film more than once. You’ll never know what you’d come up with, regardless if you try this trick randomly or carefully plan out your multiples! This technique gives you total control over your shots, allowing you to create a strangely endearing picture from layers of images!

Doubles With YOU

by lucasjakobsson
posted 10 months ago
28 comments and 1 voteThe Lomographic community has been organizing doubles (and even triples) amongst themselves for sometime. However, the results of these long distance exposure collaborations are often confined to Lomohomes and the news feed, not the magazine. We love the idea of Lomographers working together on fun projects like this which is why we decided to introduce a new blog feature, consisting of two main purposes:

Multiple Exposure Rumble ended 9 months ago

57 comments and 918 submissionsWhether you’re a newbie to multi-exposing or an aficionado this rumble gives you carte blanche to show us the fruit of your experimentation! But, this time we don't want to see your doubles taken with the LCA, Diana, or your Smena. Instead, try to experiment a bit and show us some combinations! A little bit of Supersampling in your Fisheyes, a bit of Oktomat in your Pop9s, the crazier the combination the better! Remember Golden Rule #10? There are NO Rules!

My Friend ndroo

by northwardnimbus
posted 10 months ago
15 comments and 1 voteWhen he's not counting the number of cameras he has, my friend ndroo works in an IT company in Singapore. He pounds his laptop keyboard to make a living (and buy cameras & film). Apart from all the Diana+/F+ clones, an LC-A+, a Supersampler and a "couple" of other cameras he has collected, he said its not really safe to declare how many… because his wife may read this!

Marajò, land of buffalos and bicycles

4 comments and 2 votesWhen I decided to come back to Brazil, I studied the geographic map and I was fascinating to discover this big island at the mouth of the Amazon and Tocantins rivers. It’s roughly the sides of the Netherlands and Switzerland, but no more than a dozen villages are scattered in Marajò.

Instax Mini 55 Visits Princeton University

one comment and 2 votesSo I grabbed this mini instant camera and some film as I had a tiny small area still left open in my case :) I headed off to Princeton on a cold grey December day with several cameras in my bag including this one. I met up with my new friends and started to both wander and explore.

Nominate Your Best LC-A Shots Of 2008 ended 10 months ago

43 comments and 119 submissionsThe new year may be here, but we are just not ready to forget all about 2008 yet! For many the "LC-A":http://www.lomography.com/lca+/ is the Lomography camera of choice so we though it fitting that we create a small homage to our loyal servant. You may have shot 1 roll of film through the Minitar lens, or maybe even 50, no matter how many we are sure that there is one picture that just stood out from the rest. Nominate this picture to the soon to come LCA Album of the year (you can find my submission in above :) )

Balay Negrense Museum

1 voteThe year was 1897. Victor F. Gaston built a big house to cater his big family (has 12 children) from 1901 until his death in 1927. For several decades, the house slowly deteriorated, and finally, during the 1970's, the whole family (Victor's children) left the house for good.
