Pueblo Viejo de Belchite - La memoria histórica

by jelga
posted 11 months ago
2 comments and 2 votesThere are actually two Belchites: the pueblo nuevo and the pueblo viejo, the new and the old village. The story of this site is the perfect example of the terrible consequences of a civil war. In August 1937, one year after the beginning of the Spanish war, the Republican forces tried to regain Belchite as a part of an offensive which should allow them to recover the city of Zaragoza, about 50 km away and capital of the region.

6 comments, 1 submission, and 1 voteOut of excitement upon taking your self-portrait, it seems like you got yourself entangled helplessly with that 10-meter cable release you just bought that it's impossible for you to get out of it now. Fuji Sensia 200 (35mm, 200 iso) user-review

by strangelilgirl

3 comments and 2 votesAnother side of the rainbow: As a fan of Fuji Provia when it comes to cross-processing, I decided I wanted to try another variety of Fuji film and see just how similar or different my xpro results could be. Upon finding a roll of 200 speed Sensia that was a year expired, I decided that this discounted slide film would be a good one to try out. Although I was testing two variables at once here (a different kind of film as well as being expired) and therefore cannot say which results came from which factor, I can at least say that whatever the influence, the results were drastically different than what I’m used to!

Isla de Tabarca

by saidseni
posted 11 months ago
1 voteThe Island of Tabarca is a spanish island at the Mediterranean sea. At first called Isla de San Pablo or Isla de Santa Pola, as the cape Santa Pola near by, it's actual name comes from the tunisian island of Tabarqah, from where the first setlers came, at the reign of Carlos III (XVIII century). By that time it functioned as a pirate stronghold and a fort remained until today. It is the only inhabited island of the Comunidad Valenciana.
