The Pop 9: Golden* 9Eye is Watching You!

by agrimony
posted about 1 year ago
6 comments and 3 votesThere are lots of plastic beauties featured with four lenses, even with eight lenses, which show you moves and bring some action into your life. Among all these plastic fantastic cameras there is one with a little eccentric touch – the golden 9eye! She’s the static queen and pictures a moment of calm 9 times. This means that to shoot one object looks like a fantastic design and that’s why it is almost impossible to mess up a photo. It is often a big surprise to see the results of your film – even when you think that you took some shots which do not live up with your high expectations.

Ravenstein Gallery - a trip to the 50s

by jelga

one commentThis is one of my favorite spots in Brussels, a true lomographer's paradise, especially for those who like 50's architecture. The Ravenstein gallery was in fact built between 1954 and 1958, right on time for the Expo '58, the international exhibition that radically transformed the city. Apart from the Atomium, there's very little left of the actual Expo, but in the city you can still find here and there some fine examples of the architecture and spirit of that time.

In the Shop: Looking Glass Photo

2 comments*Looking Glass Photo* of Berkeley, California has always been the spot to head when in the Bay Area looking for all things photographic. Hosting classes such as Pinhole Photography, this is one analog destination not to be missed. The staff consists of primarily photographers, giving you a chance to geek out and open up a dialogue on shutter speeds, aperture, film speed, and anything else a shutterbug can dream of. We caught up with owner Jen to find out more about the store, the Bay Area, and life behind the lens.
