The Holga 135BC: A Boy Finds His Camera

by fuzztone04
posted about 1 year ago
5 comments and 5 votesLast year around this time, I was interning at a local newspaper. The editor asked me one day to go out and take some pictures for them with a little digital point and shoot. The editor was so impressed with my shots, he wondered if I had taken any photography lessons. "No", I said. "You have a great eye for it, though. You should think about taking up photography." So a few short months later my birthday rolled around, and after having a discussion with a friend who was familiar with Lomography, I decided to blow some birthday money on a Holga 135BC. Well...what a joy that has been.

1 voteThe exotic sandy beach of Vai with the unique palm trees wood in Europe is situated at a distance of 94 kilometers far from Aghios Nicolaos at the Northeast and 24 kilometers eastern to Sitia. It has been named after the word “vagia”, meaning “palm tree” or “rims of palm tree” in Greek. According to the local legend the wood had been grown from the stones of dates thrown away by Arab pirates or Phoenician merchants set ashore at the place.

Huber's Farm (Borden, In)

by sarahd88
posted about 1 year ago
one commentEvery fall we grab a posse and caravan from Louisville up to Borden Indiana to Huber's farm. They have tractor rides out to pumpkin patches, you can pick your own apples, and they have a wonderful selection of fresh produce! This year we had about twenty people and spent the day laying in the grass, eating apples plucked fresh from the tree and running through the corn maze. I highly suggest that everyone nearby make an effort to go next October!
