  The city of Central Point, located in Southern Oregon about 40 minutes from California, is home to just over 17,000 people. My parents moved us here when I was 3 years old in order to raise me in a clean environment, free of smog, with low crime rates and a good school system.

• Down By the Riverside (Ötztal Bahnhof)

  When it is getting warmer outside and the sun shines until late in the evening my favorite place to be is down by the riverside, about five minutes to walk from where my apartment is situated. The river is called Inn and it is the main river flowing through Tirol, the name of the province I live.

  Old buildings intrigue me. I think about the stories that could be told if the walls could talk. Michigan Central Station at 2405 West Vernor in Detroit opened in 1913 and operated as a passenger rail station until the last Amtrak train pulled away from the station on January 6, 1988.
