21 comments and 1 voteOur friends at the very cool photography blog "Epic Edits":http://blog.epicedits.com/ contacted us recently about a project/competition aimed to show how affordable and exciting film photography can be. Well, that's right up our alley, so we were happy to help out and sponsor the competition with some brand-spankin' new (and $50 and under) "Diana+":http://www.lomography.com/diana cameras. Our other friends at "Ilford":http://www.ilford.com/en/ have also decided to throw in some fresh 120 film to make the competition that much more enticing.

one comment and 1 voteHay Street is a major road through the CBD of Perth, Western Australia. The street was named after Robert William Hay, the Permanent Under Secretary for Colonies. Sections of the road were called Howick Street and Twiss Street until 1897. Orientated east-west, the road starts at the Causeway traveling west through the suburbs of East Perth, Perth, West Perth, and Subiaco, where the road originally terminated at the Subiaco.

Kiev 4

3 comments and 1 voteWhen I received my Kiev 4 camera, I was happy like a child to hold in my hands such a beautiful Russian camera. Well, Russian it is, even if it's well known that the Kiev cameras were copies of the German Contax cameras. Some like to say that these cameras are German Contax made in the USSR... But the Kiev 4 is much more than the "poor man's Contax" - it's a real stunning camera with the fantastic Jupiter 8 lens.

Helgoland (The Red Island)

by graefin

4 comments and 1 voteHelgoland is known as Germany's only offshore-island situated somewhere in the North Sea. It belongs to Sleswig-Holstein although it is about 60km away from the coastline. The island is famous for its cliff line of red stone and especially for the only freestanding rock in Germany, the “Lange Anna”. Besides, there are millions of birds populating the island, most of them protected species which you can watch on guided tours exploring the island.

1 voteIt's been years since I frequented the Potomac Celtic Festival. It used to be a yearly event for my family - way back when it was held at Oatlands Plantation. It's since moved to the fields of Morvan Park. Still in Leesburg, but on the North side rather than the South.

Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Fourvière

by anglemort
posted about 1 year agoFirst, don’t be afraid by different names: “Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière” “Fourvière Basilica” “Notre-Dame Basilica” “Basilica of Our Lady of Fourvière”: This is the same austere building. But, like the Christ in Rio or the Tibidabo in Barcelona it’s the perfect place for an incredible panoramic view of the city.
