Milo Ventimiglia from Heroes shoots with a Horizon

10 comments and 1 voteBeing the super-geek that I am, and not being able to attend the incredible "Comic Con":http://www.comic-con.org/ in San Diego, I was living vicariously through the flickr community, checking out photos of Joker-wannabees and scantily-clad femme-fetales, when I stumbled upon some photos of "Milo Ventimiglia":http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0893257/ from the sometimes awesome TV show "Heroes":http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/ at the 2007 Comic Con snapping away with a "Horizon":http://shop.lomography.com/horizon/.

35 comments, 193 submissions, and 1 voteWhile rockstars and pop acts and punk bands are great subjects to photograph, personally I think that crowds are more interesting subjects. A sea of faces – sweating, jumping, singing along, holding up their lighters – simply fantastic.

It runs for about 30 km by the parishes of Paços Ferreira, Valongo (where I live) and Gondomar.

Tower of The Clérigos Church (Porto)

one comment and 1 submissionThere is a Baroque church in the center of the city of Porto, in Portugal: the Clérigos Church. Its tall bell tower, the Tower of the Clérigos Church (in Portuguese: Torre dos Clérigos), can be seen from various points of the city and is one of my favorite buildings in Porto! The church was built for the Brotherhood of the Clérigos (Clergy) by Nicolau Nasoni, an Italian architect and painter who left an extense work in the north of Portugal during the 18th century.

Abandoned French Railways Repair Shops

by azurblue

This place is abandoned since 1984, except in summer, when the R.I.P.(Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie) take place here : half of the photo exhibitions takes place in the enormous area (14 hectares).

Rock Quarry (Nashville, Tn)

by styrofoam_boots

one commentIn the seemingly boring, middle-of-nowhere Tennessee, there is a rock company off the interstate and if you sneak past the fences and no trespassing signs, and make it past the driveway you will find the most beautiful quarry you have ever seen. The bluest water in Nashville and huge rock formations to climb and jump off of. Just don't get caught.

one commentCoxyde (Koksjide) Beach - On the Belgian shore. Near the French border, close to De Panne, there is a charming town named Coxyde (Kokjide in Flams). There, you will enjoy a beautiful beach of sand, 7 km long, 50-150 meters wide when the tide is high, and 250-700 meters wide when the tide is low.

La coulée verte des Amidonniers

by misskhali
posted about 1 year agoLa coulée verte is a sort of path parallel to the “rue des Amidonniers” where I lived in Toulouse. As I saw on obsolete plans of the town, there was a brook there. It has been converted into a lovely walk with trees, grass, benches, playground, and so on. Many children play there on Wednesday afternoon while parents are chatting.

1 voteChinatown is a colorful, exotic and active area all day long. Chinatown is known as Yaowarat in Thai language. This is a large community of Chinese people settle in Thailand. They still continue their own traditions and religious practices. Chinatown starts from the symbolic China Gate and follows mainly Yaowarat Road. Along the road there are lots of gold shops, which open at Chiana Town for a long time.
