Cambodia!!

12

I went to Cambodia for a holiday and I am in love. A very historical place to visit, and worthy of taking many lomographs!

I went to Cambodia, specifically Siem Reap and Phnom Penh for a nice 10 daylong holiday and I am in love with this country!

I especially enjoyed my stay in Siem Reap, which is filled with numerous temples of different sizes and architecture styles and its also the location of the Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world. The locals are also very friendly and will always smile for the camera when you take their photos.

One of the highlights in Siem Reap that must not be missed is watching the sunrise at the Angkor Wat. Meeting random lomogaphers along the way made the experience even better.

Some tips lomographers:

-Bring lots and lots of film! ( I ran out of slides and could only find negatives there )
-Drink lots of water!
-Go during the dry season from November to April, that when the sunrise and sunsets are the most beautiful as its not cloudy or rainy.

Cambodia is a country that definitely must not be missed if you are planning to travel to south east asia!

More shots in my lomohome :)

March Frenzy: Tottenham Takes Over the V&A

I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum's Friday Late, an event that takes place every last Friday evening of the month. For March 2014, the London borough of Tottenham was invited to curate an evening of creativity. There were a number of events that went on ranging from music and art to fashion and film. Accompanied by my LC-A+ and Fisheye No. 2, here are my highlights of that evening in photographs.

A Salute to the Masters: The Democratic Eye (A Tribute to William Eggleston)

William Eggleston is one of the most important contemporary master and pioneer of color photography. In this article I write a tribute to his particular democratic way of looking around. For him "Nothing was more important or less important", and everything is worthy of being photographed. Again, he is fond of the dear old film; he said that "I don't think much about the digital world, because I am in the analog world!". Read more after the jump!

Summer Hot Spots: Blaavand, Denmark (Part Two)

When I was a child, I regularly went to Blaavand, located at the Danish west coast, with my brothers and parents. I stopped going there as I grew up. In 2012 however, we hit the road again. It was my first return visit in about 20 years. I took the chance and packed as many cameras as possible into my luggage. In part two of my journey log, I'm going to show you the pictures I took with my Lomography cameras.

My Day in Analogue: Lazy Summer Days at Home

Every summer, my soul screams for a lazy, hot day back at my parents' home, for some good food, relaxation, and catching up with childhood friends. This year is no different, so I went back down to my small hometown in the very northeast of Belgium to enjoy a perfect laid back day doing nothing and everything. And of course, I brought my analogue cameras along to eternalize all of these small but grand moments in life.

Have you all watched "Eat, Pray, Love"? I was inspired by Julia Roberts, who rode a bicycle in that movie, so I decided to rent one and try it myself! This happened two years ago but I still remember my biking route. To all of you who haven't been to Ubud, I think you should visit the place and try to go around in a bicycle!
