Awesome Photo-Realistic Double Exposure Paintings

Taking a double-exposed photo is a challenge on its own, but one artist thought of taking doubles up a notch and succeeded, with amazing results. How? By painting. You are definitely curious, so go ahead and read on!

We have once featured some marvelous photo-realistic bokeh paintings, and now, we bring you another popular photographic technique rendered through paint and brush strokes. Ladies and gentlemen, marvel at the work of Pakayla Biehn.

In her paintings for Double Exposure Series, the San Francisco-based artist takes double exposure up a notch and masterfully works with paint to create the illusion of double-exposed photographs tinged with a beautiful analogue feel. I can only imagine how painstakingly long and challenging it is to make one. The fact that Pakayla has managed to put together a more than a dozen of these paintings to make a full collection is astonishing.

My mind is blown.
