Lomography Canada and the Toronto Urban Film Festival collaborated this year in producing submissions of some of the best 1-minute silent films around the world! To commemorate this great event, join us for a Lomo Meet-up on Saturday, September 15th in Toronto!
The entries are in, the winners have been picked for our rumble, and the festival has officially begun! Now, on over 300 subway screens across Toronto, some of the best international silent 1-minute films are being shown to more than 1.3 million subway-goers! This year, Lomography Canada contributed some fantastic Lomokino films as part of our TUFF Rumble and will be screened all day on Saturday, September 15th in the Toronto subway system.
TUFF held their official press conference last Wednesday in Dundas station to kick off this festival. Executive Director Sharon Switzer welcomed the crowd and delivered the many great aspects of the festival this year, especially Lomography’s involvement in the Lomokino category.
So Toronto Lomographers! We will be meeting up just by the Northbound entrance at Dundas Square – look for Lomography cameras in our hands. We’ll head down to the subway and do some viewing of the Lomokino shorts, then spend a bit of time around Dundas Square to snap some photos of our great city. Please feel free to join us at 11 am to celebrate this great event!
