Polaroid M80
8 10 Share TweetThe Polaroid is a 1970s Automatic Land Camera that will blow your socks off!
The Polaroid M80 Automatic Land Camera is great because it not only uses easily available Fuji pack film, it also takes awesome photos!
The camera automatically calculates the exposure with apertures from f/8.8 to f/42 and shutter speeds from 1/1200 to 10 sec which means it can tackle almost any situation. There is also the usual Darken and Lighten control that you find on most polaroid cameras. I have found the exposures to be great 95% of the time with little need to make any adjustments.
It has a normal viewfinder and a separate rangefinder window to allow you to achieve accurate focusing from about a metre away to infinity. This took some getting used to but once I got the hang of it, it gave great results.
The camera has a timer on the back which you can set according to the temperature and then, after you pull your picture out, it will beep to let you know when you can peel it apart.
The one thing that this camera doesn’t have in its favor is it’s size and weight. Even though it folds up it is still pretty bulky and weighs a fair bit. That said, it is still a great camera to take out and about.
I used it combined with Fuji FP-100C film which has produced pictures that I am really pleased with.
I’d definitely recommend this camera to anyone who enjoys polaroid!
