Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages. It is time to announce the winner of the Greatest Show on Earth LomoKino Competition! We received many great entries, but it has come down to the top three. Here they are!
The competition was made to rediscover burlesque and silent movies and rejuvenate that magical world of the circus. Your LomoKino movies could have been inspired by Charlie Chaplin’s slapstick, black and white humor or the picturesque burlesque. Perhaps it was just a clown running around in circles. Either way, your circus-inspired films have been viewed and judged!
Before announcing the two runners up and the grand prize winner, here are the details again:
Any movie filmed with the LomoKino

The competition Lomography x The Staves ended on March 23, 2015, and there had been so many participants for the theme, "brothers and sisters." It's now time to celebrate the winners picked by Lomography and The Staves!
The submissions are in and it's been tough narrowing them down to three winners. Thanks to everyone who submitted photos for the Candy Kittens Rumble. Read on to find out if you are one of the lucky ones!
There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
Done shooting and want your films to be processed? We can process your colour and black & white 35mm, 120 or 110 films! Development, prints and scans are also included. (Service availability depends on your markets)
We had a huge response from this competition and quite rightly so, I mean who wouldn't want the chance to win a copy of the new Flying Lotus album? Anyway, we've picked our way through them all and chosen the best three. Find out who has won here.
In February, we hosted a Lomo'Instant Accessory Challenge in collaboration with GrabCAD. The idea of this competition was to stoke the creative ones and encourage them to be bold in experimenting with the accessories that come with Lomography's new instant camera.
Aaaaaand we're back to regular programming! Apologies that it took us long to reveal December's winners, we had too much eggnog and partied way past our bedtime. So without further delay, here's The Best of the LomoKino - December.
With your overwhelming support, we have run out of Belair Instant Backs! We'll restock it in April, but don't worry because the Belair Instant Camera is readily available to satisfy your instant cravings!
The skies were busy with magic today — or maybe it was just the solar eclipse that caused all that ruckus? Decked out in space-age goggles and other various sun viewing paraphernalia, groups of people gathered as the moon moved between the sun and the earth this morning across Europe. Only a few lucky folks witnessed the total eclipse, and here at Vienna HQ, the greatest moment of the partial eclipse happened at 10:45 A.M. and lasted only a few minutes. We stopped everything we were doing to join the sky watchers crew and share in this astonishing moment. Check out these brilliant solar-inspired shots to celebrate the occasion!
This article is a tribute to the street and humanist photographer Sabine Weiss. Considered a living legend in street photography, she likes to photograph daily lives of people, trying to capture the emotions she recognizes around her. Weiss like to photograph people of all ages but she especially loves to take photos of children, masterfully immortalizing their spontaneous gestures and emotions. For this article, I was inspired by one of her rare sports photos of some children practicing judo. Do you want to know more about this great artist? Well, read on!
