The set up continues with the usual ups-and-downs but we all know the general direction is up!!!!
Two days ago the shop “stuff” arrived! My friendly Hungarian delivery friend (who did not want to be photographed) arrived at the shop nice and early.
Yesterday the construction began with the usual dramas and today things have finally starting to take shape.
The Lomography Gallery Store London will be amazing but the big question on everyone’s mind is: will we have it finished by the 10th?

Every summer, my soul screams for a lazy, hot day back at my parents' home, for some good food, relaxation, and catching up with childhood friends. This year is no different, so I went back down to my small hometown in the very northeast of Belgium to enjoy a perfect laid back day doing nothing and everything. And of course, I brought my analogue cameras along to eternalize all of these small but grand moments in life.
Brothers have their ups and downs, but at the end the day, they always find ways to inspire one another. That's what we found out after going through hundreds of touching pictures depicting relationships between siblings as we sought for a winner for this rumble.
Did you ever think about the myth that we actually dream in Black & White? No colors, maybe no truth behind it anyways. What are your weekends like? Do you usually go on a date? Or perhaps you hang out with your family? Is playing video games on top of your weekend activities? I used to do those things. But it all changed since I met film photography. Find out more after the jump!
From its vintage 19th century design to the fantastic, creative and unique photos it produces, the Lomography x Zenit New Petzval Art Lenses just oozes analogue. We set up a mini photo studio at Lomography HQ a few days ago and got snap happy with the New Petzval attached to the Canon EOS 5 film camera. Check out the results after the jump!
Photos shot with a New Petzval lens are immediately recognizable for their super-sharp focus areas and wonderful swirly bokeh effect. Each New Petzval lens is crafted from brass (just like the original Petzval lens) and features premium glass optics. Together with Lomography, the lenses have been designed and constructed by a team of optics specialists at the Zenit factory in Russia. Zenit are master lens manufacturers and have the skill to build the Petzval lens for use with today’s SLR cameras.

I wanted to shoot Lomo’Instant photos which felt a bit “messier” than what I’m usually used to and to use a technique which would open up new possibilities with the kinds of images I could create with my favorite instant camera. Well, here I go!
