On a warm summer evening, what's better than an outdoor screening of "The Artist"? How about the extra goodness of a fashion show beforehand? That's just how we spent our Friday night here at Lomography Gallery Store Santa Monica!
What: Cinema on the Street
When: Friday, July 27, 2012
Where:3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica
When we found out there would be a screening of the award winning film The Artist on our very own 3rd street promenade, we jumped at the chance to host the event! You know how much we love film, and we wanted to show our support for this cinematic gem shot entirely in true black and white film! We were lucky enough that Uggie, one of the stars of the show, graced us with his presence before the movie started.
Just before the screening, a 20’s style fashion show was held featuring amazing designs from designers Max Studio and Hanna Hartnell. Cameras courtesy of Lomography of course! The models featured our camera as jewelery and we couldn’t be happier with the glamourous shots that resulted:
And what would a film screening be without paparazzi? Our shooters were loaded up with the Sprocket Rocket, for that perfect 20’s style panoramic shooting. Check out some of their shots for an in the mix perspective:
Sunday – 11:00am – 7:00pm
