Enjoy the Mexican and Latino culture in Southern California!
California use to be a part of Mexico as some people may already know, and it is impossible to talk about California culture without mentioning Mexican culture. Olvera Street is a marketplace located a few block away from the famous Union train station in Los Angeles, and offers visitors shopping and dining experience reflecting Mexican and Latino culture and traditions.
Many visitors come here to enjoy shopping from over 80 unique stores and entertainments from local artists. You will often find Mariachis go over to people and play a few songs for them, which I love! When I went to Olvera Street this time, I run into a show by 2 break dancers. I noticed when I went to 3rd Street in Santa Monica, those break dancers seem to have the exact same rules for the audiences…
Rule #1- If you like what you see, please clap.
Rule #2- If you don’t like what you see….guess what, still clap because they have feelings!
Rule #3- If you see something you cannot do, please tip!
There are always different entertainers here, so every time I come here, I’m able to enjoy different performances! It’s a great place for a photo shoot, too!!!
