My Fisheye Baby 110 and Me: Mario

Mario took his Fisheye Baby 110 out with a roll of Lomography Orca B&W film. What did people think when they saw this baby sensation? Read on and find out.

Hey Mario!

What was it like using the Fisheye Baby 110?

First of all, it reminds me a lot of my childhood. One of the first cameras I used, was a Agfamatic Pocket Sensor. Holding the 110 Film in my hands and loading the camera was like using a time machine. Overall, shooting with the Fisheye Baby 110 was a lot of fun. Since it is really lightweight, you can almost use it as a keychain and there are absolutely no excuses for leaving it at home.

Any strange or funny moments while using the camera?

Nope, besides the fact that nobody thinks it works – which gives you absolutely freedom when you choose your object of desire. I think people expecting water to shoot out from the front of the camera……

Among all your Fisheye Baby 110 snapshots, which one do you like best and why?

I didn´t shoot that many rolls until now, but I like the one with the chef in front of the restaurant. The picture turned out really soft and is fading to the outside. It looks a little bit like taking a look into someones memory.

If you could assign a song to your Fisheye Baby 110 photos, what would it be?

One song is difficult maybe 1960 What? by Gregory Porter

Can you share any tips with other Fisheye Baby 110 users?

Get close and don´t forget to remove the lens cap.

Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.

Spinner 360: Pull the Cord and Let the Magic Happen!

The story between the Spinner 360 and I goes way back to the year 2010, when Lomography decided to send me a beta model of the Spinner 360 to test. It was a complete surprise! I thought, "What the hell is that?" as I first took this camera out of the package. Then, when my little brother grabbed it from me and pulled the cord, it buzzed and turned 360°! We all had the same expression: "Whoa..."

Mysterious apparitions and other inexplicable phenomena on film, or generally speaking, for that matter, are as highly debated topics today as they were many decades ago. In 1934, a certain Mr. C.P. MacCarthy of 15 Wilkinson Street, Sheffield held a lecture at 76 Clarkehouse Road located in the same city to "demonstrate under test conditions Fake Psychic Photography" before an invited committee. MacCarthy's demonstration was accompanied by a series of photographs titled "Psychic Photography From a New Angle."
