Rule # 2 : Use your Horizon Perfekt Day and Night (Self Doubles of One Subject)

9

Actually it's not a tipster, just share what I did. You can create your own double/multiple exposure with variety of D.I.Y. splitzer. Not all of my photo was taken with the D.I.Y. splitzer that I write below. Some of the photo was just shoot night and day at the same place.

I have always admired hodachrome and dakadevpui for their DIY splitzer and magical double/multiple exposures. Unfortunately, my Horizon Perfekt doesn’t have the MX switch for making double/multiple exposures. But after reading one of tipsters (I forgot which one is it), I got an idea to do this kind of day and night doubles with my Horizon Perfekt camera.

First thing I did was cut a paper to the same size of my Horizon Perfekt camera lens & put the double tape at the edge of the paper to covering half of the lens

Next, I shot on a favorite photographer’s spot in my hometown at night until my film fully loaded with the shoot.

Third, I wrote the 1st – 23rd subject of my shoot at piece of paper cause I’m not a good reminder.

Fourth, I rolled the film until the camera sounds “click” (you can feel it also), and then open the camera. You’ll find the tongue of the film still there. Then put it again to shoot from the first frame.

Fifth, I pulled the paper at the lens and covered half part of the lens which was open at the previous shoot.

Sixth, I shot at the same object that I shoot at night, but this time, during a bright, sunny day.

Seventh, looked at the paper to know which subjects I should shoot at night for the 1st to the 23rd frame.

Last thing I did was rewind the film, send it to the lab for developing and scanning, then I uploaded the photos to my LomoHome.

The Horizon Kompakt makes it easy for everyone to shoot fantastic panoramic images. With fixed focus and aperture settings, all you have to do is point and shoot! Get your own Horizon Kompakt now!

He will respectfully ask for a photo session. He does not outline why, and if you are shy, you will wonder what he has seen in you. He greets reluctance with understanding and a resounding yes with an equal amount of enthusiasm. When the day comes, he will treat you like a collaborator. And whenever he talks about the outcome—comely photos of what looks like your most confident self—he will always call you a muse.

    Analog By Nature

It's late October in Copenhagen and summer was well and truly behind us. With the nights drawing in, the chances of going out with one of my cameras was slim. All was not lost at this time of year, however, as it allowed me time to focus on my own personal music projects—I am a professional composer/musician and audio engineer at my own studio by day.

A Salute to the Masters: Buraco (A Tribute to Alfred Eisenstaedt)

Alfred Eisenstaedt was one of Life Magazine's greatest photographers, known for his ability to immortalize the storytelling moment of many public events in history. To write this tribute to him, I chose a subject that he photographed in different places and times: card players in public places. The photos in this article were taken at the Patronal Feast of my city Como, during a series of buraco's lessons held by a local card players club.

    My Lomo’Instant Quick Tips

I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
