An arm’s length portrait of yourself is what we asked you last time, after a month has passed, we now bring you good news – the winners for the photogenic showdown is out and about!
Either you’re compelled to finish a roll of film or simply just being the vain person as you are, there’s always enough frame in that roll of film for snapping that photogenic self of yours! Maybe it’s just natural talent the Community has that we received tons of shots – from the much demure down to the most wackiest faces one can pull in front of the camera, they’re just fun to watch! And we think the 1 photo submission limit isn’t enough!
Moving on to the usual proceedings, we now present you the winners! First off is an entry picked by the Jury themselves, a statically dynamic Actionsampler shot taken by Brommi!
All caught up and being a square is rather an uncomfortable feeling, but Moodification doesn’t mind! As long as it’s sparkly enough, then it’s a good frame to put your self portrait in! And the Community thinks so, too!
Congratulations and good job on snapping yourselves with a Lomo camera! It’s really something of an effortless affair isn’t it? Our winner Brommi will receive 15 piggies and a badge for Moodification! Want to see some more? Take a look at these special selections we have and acquaint yourself with everyone’s lomo-pseudonyms along with their faces!
Just last month, we gave you the opportunity to win beautifully illustrated goodies from UK-based illustrator Helena Carrington. From over 1000 entries, Helena herself has personally picked her Top 3 images and we are happy to announce the winners of Helena Carrington notebooks and cushions.
Last month, we launched the very first photo competition to honor the phenomenal New Petzval Lens. With over 300 submissions, choosing the very best ones was certainly a challenge! Are you ready to see who made the cut?
As contenders for the Nixon Surf Challenge title confronted the swell and unforgiving weather in Kamchatka, Russia, we challenged you to show us what the ‘riding life’ is all about through your analogue photos. Nixon has announced the Surf Challenge winner – it’s time we announced ours.
There is nothing better than a photo shot at the perfect moment. Henri Cartier-Bresson's principle on "The Decisive Moment" is a principle that we should still follow to this day. A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.
