My Lomokino MUBI Edition

It was born out of the collaboration between Lomography and MUBI. Its essence is the LomoKino we all know and love, but it's wrapped in a new coat: a cheerful, playful, and fun design! Keep reading and you'll be amazed with all its features!

In this special and limited LomoKino edition you’ll also get a matching LomoKinoscope loaded with a scene from the movie “Ashes” by Apichatpong Weerasethakul. You also get a free one month subscription to MUBI to watch movies and short films, and get inspired!

It’s the same LomoKino we all know, which allows you to shoot 35mm movies in slide film, redscale, black and white your choice!

The focus goes from 0.6m to infinity and if you want to shoot closer than 1m, just hold down the close-up button any time. The camera has continuous aperture settings from f/5.6 to f/11 and allows you to adjust it at any time during shooting. If you don’t have enough light you can attach a flash (the Flitz the Blitz flash works like a charm!)

It’s super easy to use. When you turn the crank. you shoot between 3 to 5 frames per second (shooting speed 1/100) and as a result, you get a 144 frames short films of about 30 seconds length. A little screen shows the progress of the movie and when the film is over, a red flag pops up!

The Lomokino Mubi design is cheerful and full of life! White with color dots. It’s impossible not to fall in this temptation!

This is my first movie and after attending to the LomoKino Premiere and be completely amazed!; I won’t stop shooting movies and with a little bit of luck…next year my movies will be featured in a the big screen!!!

[Movie:1733]

Also, if you’re brave enough you can make your own LomoKino Camera Case!, in any color you like!

Lomo on!

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!

Transient Living: Armitage & McMillan in Denver, Colorado

If you want to know the heart of a person, peek inside his/her wardrobe! And no, nobody famous said that; I only just made it up. But really, don't you think it's true? After all, the way we dress screams our personality; at least for most of us. And that is why, as soon as I land on a new city, one of the things I absolutely must do is find the local boutiques. Sure, I love the fancy chain boutiques as much as the next person, but there's just something else about a local clothing store. It's unique!

The World According to Herr Willie: Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Singapore, like Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, is a likely stopover when you fly far. The city is a tiny urbanized hub but it's very favorable if you know some high-spirited locals. I was lucky to hook up with king kimbo (@hakimbo), who showed me around. He took my lame limbs to the Gardens by the Bay, an amazing place which was visually striking. I was hugging some artificial trees there when I found a baby—a very big baby.
