Show Us Your Mad LomoKino Editing Skills Winner Announcement

8

Got the mad skills to pay the bills, eh? Saying it doesn’t justify anything at all, you got to edit it for you to prove it! Just like these winning folks we have here!

To shoot moving pictures is quite different compared to what a hip-shooter normally does, where every click of the camera’s shutter gets the job done, quickly. With the Lomokino, there’s still more left to do afterwards and one of them is editing! For a director, it is too much to do everything and would just assign someone he trust with the editing, unless he’s an Auteur himself.

So, just last month we had an open competition wherein you can showcase your mad editing skills with the supplied reels for you to play with! After a tough deliberation, we’re now ready to announce who made it! Here they are:

Grand Prize Winner

by tesatscad

tesatscad will receive LomoKino and LomoKinoscope Package + LomoKino Smart Phone Holder and 1 Pack of Lomography film!

Runner-uppers

by tomccfc92

They will get 10 piggys for their efforts, congratulations!

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!

A perfectly-timed photo creates impact, whether it's one of a friend jumping into the pool or a couple emerging from the ceremony on their wedding day. For this rumble, we want to see that breathtaking moment, shot at the perfect time. And you showed us what it's like to be on time.

So here’s what we’ve been working on: an all new lomography.com

For the last year we've been working on the next version of Lomography. We based our work on the feedback you’ve given us over the years and we wanted to share it as early as possible with you and can’t wait to hear what you think. Just one warning first: it is still in development and things can break. All the photos, comments, likes, homes and everything else were transferred as of October 16th, 2014. So anything you do on next.lomography.com won't be reflected on www.lomography.com and vice versa. Once we are done with testing, everything you did here will be deleted again. So this is a big playground for you to explore.

The Magic Yet To Come: Part 1

Here’s a random and rather mysterious tale for you folks. Just the other day, I was at a local bar with a few friends. It was much like any other evening; we were sipping a couple of cocktails, recounting our adventures, falling over ourselves with laughter and half-drunkenly meditating on the meaning of life (a scientist once told me it’s 42 by the way). But then something truly strange happened. Read on to hear my story and please make a comment with your guess at the end!
