This may be common sense but have you done it yet? Yes, it may seem silly, but when was the last time you were up-close and personal to more than 60 birds at one time?
On my last beach trip, I stopped at the local gas station and grabbed a cheap loaf of bread. Then, I went to the beach armed with my white loaf and a handful of cameras! It’s no secret that seagulls are a very greedy feathered friend. The second I tore into one piece of bread, 10, 30, then 60 seagulls showed up! All in a fury to get some bread. I was surrounded. Seagulls are fearless when it comes to food, so beware, because they will eat right out of your hand. It makes for some fun photos! Try it next time your soaking up some rays at the beach!
So here is what you’ll need:
cameras (I chose my La Sardina, Fisheye 2, and Diana Mini)
Ernest Cole’s photographic career may have been short-lived but it prolific. Almost 50 years after they were taken, Cole’s photographs still speak volumes and prove to be more than relevant in these modern times.
The new year is still young, but it seems as if it'll be over quickly. My organizer is already filled with entries until June. 2015 will probably be worse than 2014 when it comes to having time off so I could take some analogue shots. Anyway, there are some photography-related things that I really want to get done. It is probably best to set some goals if I only have very limited time.
Read on dear friend and I will weave a story for you. There may be more questions than answers raised by this peculiar tale. But if it’s clarity you seek, have no fear, things will become clear in time (they always do, don’t they?). So rub the Sandman’s dust from your sleepy eyes and take a journey with me. If you think you have an answer when we reach the end, please do share it in the comments!
Common sense tells us that when the weather gets bitterly cold, it's best to stay inside and drink a cup of something warm. But when you have a primo lens like the Petzval, it's hard not to go on an adventure! Equipped with nerves of steel and a Petzval lens, these Lomographers around the globe bundled up and braved the conditions to capture the top 10 wintry (not so) hot spots.
It may be the time for chirping birds and fresh tunes but PYHOF will take a break from usual programming to bring you songs from two of the most talented blues and jazz singers top have ever walked the earth. We bring you, Ella Fitzgerald and Albert King.
When I was a kid, one of my greatest joys was to go to the park. I especially loved playgrounds. It didn't matter how may other children there were, as long as I could have my turn to go on the slide and and sit on the swing. These days, enjoying one's childhood has become so different. Technology has stolen the interest of children in more physically demanding yet fun activities.
