My partner and I visited various surf spots in Ericeira and the region around Lisboa last month and it was the perfect trip to try out my Fisheye No.2, and my brand new Submarine!
Before starting our surfing trip in Portugal, I searched for a good underwater camera to shoot some fun pictures while surfing or at least an opportunity to secure my beloved lomo cams from water damage. I found a lot of disposable ones from the drugstore for instance or some cheap digital solutions, but finally I decided to buy the Submarine for my Fisheye No. 2 Lime Punch.
I really like shooting with it although I did not try to completely go underwater with it every time. I will try it the next time for sure!
The Submarine is always recommended for fun water photos especially because it does not sink! (Well you think of course it should not sink but I believe I already lost two underwater cams while riding some uncomfortable waves. They just sank down and I never saw them again!) And do not forget to switch on your flash underwater. ;)
Here some more pics taken with my LC-A and the Fisheye:
I went to the Victoria & Albert Museum's Friday Late, an event that takes place every last Friday evening of the month. For March 2014, the London borough of Tottenham was invited to curate an evening of creativity. There were a number of events that went on ranging from music and art to fashion and film. Accompanied by my LC-A+ and Fisheye No. 2, here are my highlights of that evening in photographs.
Aside from the fact that Ubud is a must-visit tourist spot in Bali, it is also the perfect place to relax and get inspired. There, you’ll see and feel something different. Staying there for a month in 2012 made me discover good places to visit. If ever you'll be in Bali for a holiday, don't forget to visit Ubud. Now, I shall take you on a quick visit to this town!
Last year, schugger surprised fellow lomographer, turtle_cologne, with a Lomography Fisheye No. 2 during the latter's birthday. In the end, she was the one who got completely mesmerized by this wide-eyed wonder and started her own analogue journey!
Exactly seven years ago, I bought this camera from Indonesia's local Lomography community. I remember having some savings in my bank account and just spending it all on this camera. At that time, I browsed the microsite for the Lomography Fisheye No.2 and immediately fell in love with it! Coincidentally, my friend who introduced me to Lomography just bought this same camera for his birthday. My life has changed ever since I had the Fisheye, my first lomographic camera.
Have you all watched "Eat, Pray, Love"? I was inspired by Julia Roberts, who rode a bicycle in that movie, so I decided to rent one and try it myself! This happened two years ago but I still remember my biking route. To all of you who haven't been to Ubud, I think you should visit the place and try to go around in a bicycle!

Chloé Vollmer-Lo's photos speak for themselves. Every image, whether it's a portrait or a seemingly simple snapshot of a street alley, tells a story. The Paris-based photographer tested the New Petval Lens 85 recently, and the results, as expected, speak volumes. She talks about her experience as a freelance photographer - and with the New Petval Lens 85 - in this exclusive interview.
"You put your camera around your neck in the morning along with putting on your shoes, and there it is, an appendage of the body that shares your life with you," said Dorothea Lange, the icon whose birthdate we celebrate today, May 26.
