If Slides Had Flavors

What if slide films were labeled in flavors? Have you ever wondered which one would be the strawberry? Or watermelon? Read on to see what flavorful slides will suit your taste buds or should I say, your eyes!

Come and taste the different flavors of X-pro color slides. Here are my 10 favorite flavors to choose from.

Strawberry: Fuji Sensia 100
Satisfy your eyes with the sweet juicy strawberry flavor of this slide film. Spilling buildings, skies, faces and animals with its powerful red. A film that will always make those strawberry lovers very delighted.

Cherry: Fuji Velvia 100F
This slide film owns the deepest reds and the strong flavor of wild cherries. It’s a bit sour for me but some people really love this flavor. Shooting in broad daylight with this slide film may lessen the flavor a bit, but don’t worry, the cherry sensation will always be there.

Watermelon: Fuji Astia 100F
I think this is my favorite flavor of slide film. Mostly sweet pink and red but some will turn out purple, depending on the situation. But like watermelon, it will surely be juicy and delicious.

Grape: Fuji T64
I think this is as purple as purple could get. The Fuji T64 Grape flavor will satisfy your purple thirsty eyes. The sky, the ground, and everything in between will be spilled with its grape flavor.

Blueberry: Lomography X tungsten
“Blueberry flavored” that’s what boomerang said in his article, and yes I agree with him. A very unique flavor of a slide film, just looking at the photos produced by this slide film will satisfy your blueberry cravings, what more in shooting it?

Bubblegum: Agfa Precisa CT100 (EU)
It’s a legendary film they say, the Blue Bubblegum flavor of this film is what made it famous. The unbelievably blue skies it produces will guarantee satisfaction to your eyes. Once you use it you will surely stick to it, like a bubblegum.

Lemon/Lime: Lomography X-Pro 200
Who doesn’t love lemonades? Lemon hued slides are always refreshing specially on summer days. But this film is a bit moody, sometimes it will turn out to be a sour glowing green lime flavor. Have a taste of this slide film, and like they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Mint: Fuji Provia 100F
A fresh cool mint flavor, that’s what Fuji Provia 100F slide film will bring you. This slide brings out a cool greenish color, so just be calm and take a look at these mint-hued photos. Breathe in the cool air into your lungs and feel it’s refreshing power.

Green Tea: Fuji Sensia 200
Mild and almost natural, the green tea flavored sensia is not even close to its younger sister sensia 100. This slide film produces a very mild and relaxing green, a perfect brew for solemn moods.

Natural flavor: Lomography X-Pro chrome 100
The all natural flavor of the Lomography X-Pro Chrome 100 is a classic all-time favorite slide film. No added artificial flavoring in this one. It brings out the natural yet still tasty and rich colors of the photo.

So there you have it, 10 color slide flavors to choose from! Please note that flavors are sometimes unpredictable and can change depending on the chemicals used, light condition, and even your processing lab. Now, what’s your favorite flavor?
