On 110 Film, Cameras and Places to Develop in Malaysia

5

Getting a 110 camera and don’t know where to develop the films in Malaysia? Not sure what 110 films are? Fret not. We will walk you through and read more after the jump!

110 Film

Kodak introduced the 110-film format in 1972. This cartridge-based film is smaller in size than its predecessor and measures 16mm in width. 110 film is perforated on each frame to aid in advancing the film. Just like the 126 film, 110 has a paper backing that has frame numbers printed on it.

In 2012, Lomography released the The Lomography Orca B&W 100, the first film in this format to be produced since the announced discontinuation of 110 in 2009.

The Lomography Orca B&W 100

The Lomography Orca B&W 100 format film might be small in size, but don’t let that fool you – it is rather one of the great things about it! 110 film makes for extra portable, pocket-friendly fun. And thanks to its high quality, it can still yield some great depth of field and excellent results even at short focal length – all this with some very simple focusing. Isn’t that something for such a fun sized companion?

The Lomography Orca B&W 100, which requires classic B&W processing (not C-41). Whilst being able to produce some of the finest 110 black and white shots you’ve ever seen, the first run of Orca may include a light feature whereby the last four frames might catch some light subsequently creating unexpected bursts and original results.

I think most of the camera shop that developed color/b&w film, would accept 110 film as well. 110 film is rare but there are using the same chemical with 135/ 120 films, no matter is hand-developed,c41 or e6=) Btw,I know Photo Crafts can developed 110 films as well=)

Pushing Boundaries: So I Heard You Like Multiple Exposures

My name is Amber Valentine and I have a confession to make: I’m not really a photographer. I have a website full of photographs, a bookshelf full of cameras, film waiting to be developed, and a wall full of framed pictures I’ve taken. Even so, I don’t really consider myself a photographer per se. I think that Lomography is more about the experimentation and the fun of film than it is about the photography, and that experimentation is part of the reason I have embraced Lomography so.
