Thank you to everyone who attended the launch party for the Colorsplash Chakra camera and book at Reedspace in NYC last night. We apologize for the flash-blindness and hope your chakras are still aligned after all that partying!
We took photos by the pound last night and literally have a sack of film at the lab getting processed. Soon we’ll sort through them, and have galleries galore to share with you all.
For now, enjoy these videos as a taste of what’s to come!
November is almost here and so is winter -- we might as well embrace both. This coming month we have the Lomo'Instant Launch Party (that everyone should attend because it's going to be FUN!) with a follow up workshop, a La Sardina light painting session, and a planned trip to the Winter Wonderland with the LC-A+ to get us in the mood for the holiday season!
I backed the Kickstarter project for the Lomo’Instant earlier this year and was thrilled to receive it last week. I love how the camera naturally encourages you to experiment with its different features, whether it’s through flashing your multiple exposures with different colors or trying different creative techniques after your shots has been ejected. Here are a few tips from what I’ve discovered from playing with the camera so far (and a couple of tips I want to try out in future)!
They say there’s a first time for everything and with the Lomo’Instant Wide, that couldn’t be more accurate. Combining high quality craftsmanship with versatile features, the Lomo’Instant Wide is the instant camera for any and every person who revels in capturing every beautiful, bizarre and bewildering moment in a creative, super wide, crisply sharp and perfectly exposed way.
This October, Cambridge and London-based visual artist and writer Katherine April conducts a photographic installation project at the Cambridge City Center that puts herself out there, quite literally.
Done shooting and want your films to be processed? We can process your colour and black & white 35mm, 120 or 110 films! Development, prints and scans are also included. (Service availability depends on your markets)
The beauty of instant cameras is that they let your spontaneous side truly run wild, and the Lomo'Instant Wide gives you just the opportunity to experiment with all sorts of shooting methods on the fly!
It goes without saying that street photography is one of the most exciting and fulfilling practices a photographer can do. But for some, especially the beginners, the prospect of hitting the streets can be a little daunting. Here, we dish out a few tips to help shake off anxiety.
