Need to shoot photos in low light conditions? Want to shoot indoors without a flash? Lomography CN 800 is a brilliant film for all situations.

When I think of purchasing film I find myself less and less inclined these days to buy slower (ISO 100) films. I’ve discovered that my style requires something that can capture good images in lower/available light.

Film is mostly expensive, and gets more expensive the faster speeds you need, so I try to grab a bargain when I can. Luckily, my favorite high speed film is Lomography CN 800. Why is that lucky? Because not only is it great, it is also one of the cheapest high speed colour films.

The main reason I like it so much is its flexibility.

The potters work, under fluorescent lighting.

Your eyes and brain compensate for different types of light, and you only notice the difference when you see a photo; However, CN 800 does an astounding job of capturing nice, quite neutral images under most lighting conditions, sunlight, fluorescent, and tungsten all look decent shot with it.

Wonderful colour in the toughest situation of all, sunlight from the left, tungsten from above! Natural skin tones in abundance.

In summary, you can really trust Lomography CN 800 to do a fantastic job for you in a multitude of situations. You get minimal grain for 800 film and wonderful, accurate colour.

Great little review. I do tend to like the color representation from Lomo's 800cn vs some of the other brands of the same speed.
