Hello, tell us a bit about yourself and your Lomographic journey.

I first heard about Lomography way back when I was in college but did not pay much attention to it. Later on, a friend of mine bought Holga and LC-A back in 2006. That basically stir back my interest to Lomography. I only bought my cameras in early 2011 when I moved to Klang Valley as there’s much more choices there and also there’s a new shop in Penang in 2011 started selling Lomography products and films.

What the best part shooting with a bunch of Lomography enthusiast?

Its great when you go shooting with your friends as we share the tips & tricks of our camera. Also, since a bunch of us share the same interest, you can never run out of film since everyone will surely have a spare in their bag.

And the worst?

The more you share the more you buy. You’ll soon realize that you have more and more cameras in your collection.

Do you enjoy shooting alone or do you prefer shooting together with the community?

Definitely prefer to go in a group. Its more fun and you can have the “shooting me shooting you” photo.

What’s your favorite photo in your collection and why?

This is one of my favorite. The photo is split into 2 portion in the horizon and there’s nothing but a hut and my friend right in the middle. Towards the right side you can see small tiny boats in the sea.

Were you born in Penang? Where is your location now?

Yes, I am born in Penang and currently staying in Klang Valley. I do travel back to Penang very often.

Penang is one of the awesome islands ever in Malaysia. Tell us, what do you love the most about Penang?

In Penang, you can have mixture of both old and new city architecture. If you’re in Georgetown, you can see the heritage and colonial buildings and other part of Penang you will have modern cityscape.

What about the food? Is there any finger-licking good food that you love in Penang?

You will be spoilt by endless choices of street food. I would say Char Kuey Teow is my favorite.

Where would you bring your friend to go when they pay you a visit at Penang?

I’ll start off for city tour, I will bring them to Georgetown Heritage trail. Many interesting architecture, wall painting, small cafe & wall art made of metal frame can be found along the trail. Then I will proceed to Kek Lok Si temple and end up in Batu Ferringhi for the sunset.

Where do you develop your film at Penang? Do you have any other recommendation and what are the price and any other specific notes?

If you are in Penang, you can drop by to Analogue Kaki in 1st Avenue and Gurney Plaza, they have a wide selection of Lomography cameras & films and they do provide processing as well for both 35mm and 120 format.

Thanks for your time! Before we wrap things up, do you mind letting us know which Lomography product is your favorite and why?

LC-A will definitely be my favorite. It has quite a wide lens of 32mm, can take photo in dark area without any flash, vignette at the right places even without cross processing and if you shoot in low light it will choose the large aperture f/2.8 which makes your portrait shot sharp in the focusing range and blurry on the background.

Lantern Slides From the 'Psychic Photography From a New Angle' Series

Mysterious apparitions and other inexplicable phenomena on film, or generally speaking, for that matter, are as highly debated topics today as they were many decades ago. In 1934, a certain Mr. C.P. MacCarthy of 15 Wilkinson Street, Sheffield held a lecture at 76 Clarkehouse Road located in the same city to "demonstrate under test conditions Fake Psychic Photography" before an invited committee. MacCarthy's demonstration was accompanied by a series of photographs titled "Psychic Photography From a New Angle."
