The Lomography Gallery Store Manchester took the short walk down to the People's History Museum in Spinningfields to announce the winner's of our Protest Photography Competition and also gave a little presentation for those less well versed in the ways of Lomography!
WHAT: Results Night at The People’s History Museum
WHEN: 18/05/12 Friday, 6pm
WHERE: The People’s History Museum, Manchester
We had a great evening at the People's History Museum and the standard of entry to our Young Photographer’s competition was very high so picking a winner was tough! This wasn’t a task we were going to take lightly so we enlisted the help of professional photographer and lecturer, Charlie Meecham. He brought along one of his students who gave us an amazing insight into what it’s like to be a photographer during a protest, and having seen both sides of the student protests in London in 2010, he recounted some very interesting and at times shocking stories of the goings on in the capital.
After the presentations it was time to announce the winners and everyone was eager to find out who had won, so David and Charlie opened the envelope and made the announcement.
1st Place: TraceKaiser
