What: LomoWalk: Cockney Geezers Pie and Mash Trail.
When: 9th June, Saturday from 11am
Where: Lomography Gallery Store Soho
A traditional working-class food, originating from the east end of London, pie, mash and jellied eels shops have been around since the early 19th century. The good ol’ traditional pie with mash (and let’s not forget the liquor!) is still heavily popular and London is home to many of the longest running and most historical Pie houses today. Join us this weekend as we explore the great British pie in all its glory. There is only one way to capture the retro Formica tables, traditional tiled walls and more jellied eels than you can shake a stick at, with film of course.
Take your pick between the LC-A or Lubitel 166+. Get to grips with how to capture the fabric of the old city and create the ‘piefect’ picture of a truly British meal.
Tickets are £15 and include a presentation, lend-a-camera LC-A or Lubitel 166+, a roll of film plus discounts on film processing.
