Imagine my surprise after cross processing an expired Fuji Velvia100. Soon after getting my very first Lomo camera, an LC-A+ in December 2011, one of the first rolls that I used was an expired Fuji Velvia 100. Since Lomography is known for cross-processed images, I was eager to see the results.
Street photography is one of my favorite genres of photography, so I decided to use the roll on the streets of New York City. The afternoon light was gorgeous that day while I covered Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
Lo and behold, imagine the pleasant surprise after I got the film developed – I was stunned to see the black-and-white tones! That was the last thing that I was expecting to see. But, I am not complaining, at all. In fact, I was thrilled to see the results.
This is a beautiful surprise that I do not mind getting every often.
