In an ever changing state, Tel Aviv surprises you at every corner, may it be new exciting architecture or pitiful ruins.
During all of my visits to Tel Aviv, I was always attracted by it’s architecture. The face of the city changes faster than you can imagine. New visit, new skyscrapers, hotels, apartment houses and corporate buildings! Sometimes the old houses get torn down to make place for new buildings, sometimes they get renovated and sometimes they just stay- well- ruins.
Architects and construction companies seem to give a s**t on what houses “have to look like.” You can see the most exciting, weird, futuristic, but nevertheless beautiful buildings just by strolling through the streets.
Even the ruins serve a new purpose during the short while till they vanish. They are used as party places, storage houses or as the youth’s canvas for new street art (graffitis, paintings, stencils,…)
I know that Tel Aviv is famous for other things, the beach, the parties, the clubs. But next time when you sober up and already got enough sun and sand on your red skin, take a walk with your head high and watch the architectural marbles of a ever-changing metropolis!

We asked some of New York’s hottest designers to lend their talent in designing some of our La Sardina DIY cameras, and we are very excited to share with you the masterpiece of Simone Legno from tokidoki! Simone Legno is the creative director and co-founder of tokidoki, which stands for "sometimes" in Japanese. He chose this word because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person.”
There are many possible reasons for taking pictures. Whatever the reason, there's almost always a story behind a picture, no matter how significant or trivial it may be. And for lomographers, nothing beats the feeling of having that story unfold in your hand, in the form of a print. If you want a quick keepsake from that treasured moment or a snapshot of that special someone though, you can have it instantly, through Lomo'Instant Stories!
This article is dedicated to Serge Moulinier, a largely unknown French photographer who won one of the most important prizes in France with a book on Greek architecture. Strangely, little information can be found on the Internet about this great photographer whose work had also been published in an important essay written by the famous John Szarkowski, former Director of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Valerio Spada went beyond his comfort zone and stepped right into the battlefield with his camera. He went to Naples, Italy, an area populated by the Camorra Mafia but also home to Annalisa Durante who, at the age of 14, was killed by a bullet aimed at a Camorra boss. What happened to her could've happened to any of the girls portrayed in the book Gommorah Girl. This work is about Annalisa. It's about all of the girls that, just like her, seem doomed to an unfair destiny - which, hopefully, may still change.
The Rescued Film Project collects, develops and archives undeveloped or unwanted film from all over the world. Recently, the group acquired 31 rolls at an auction in Ohio, which, as it turns out, were from World War 1 and featured some amazing photographic footage of that time. Founder and film technician Levi Bettwieser talks about this exciting project.
