Everything is perfect with Horizon Perfekt. I've been saying that for years now since I first used this Ultimate-Panoramic Dream Machine. Now I will tell you all, some of my moves when shooting with Horizon Perfekt. Oh yes, this camera is so hot! Here are some 5 Hot Tips for Hot Horizon Shots!

1. Take your Horizon everywhere!

Since this camera is a panoramic camera, I take this with me everywhere. I know it’s already said that take your camera everywhere you go, but with the Horizon you’ll get surprises. Trust me on this one.

2. Don’t think too much!

Moments come and go, people move quickly but we are lomographers, remember? So don’t think too much when you see something good in front of you. Your Horizon will accompany you in any situation so be sure to click away. Be fast!

3. Keep calm and trust Horizon!

Sometimes you all have this doubt when you will shoot something, the questions are “What’s the setting to shoot this situation?” or “What if my film is ISO 100?” Please put those questions away and keep calm. Use your feeling and trust horizon.

4. Get close!

This tip is my personal favorite and I always keep this sentence in mind every time I go shoot outside. With Horizon, usually people can shoot everything that is “panorama” themed, but be flexible and be free with your Horizon. Just let loose for sometimes and shoot closely, just like Robert Capa always said.

5. Don’t be afraid of the sun!

For some time during my travel, I always took horizon with me and when the sun is up I know it’s the perfect time to shoot directly at the sun. I’m serious here, just set the to f/16 and 1/500 and be brave to shoot the sun. Voila! The Perfect Sun shot. Try it! Don’t be afraid to the sun!

Fresh from My Darkroom: The First Game of the New Rugby Season

Last Sunday, the local rugby team Rugby Como played the first match of the 2014-1025 season. Rugby is my favorite sport to photograph, and for some years I've been documenting almost every home match of this young team. This time I used a 1959 Zorki 5 camera with a vintage 1958 Industar-50 lens loaded with a timeless film, the Ilford HP5+ developed in a century-old developer, the mythical Rodinal. Take a look after the jump!
