Kahala Mandarin

One of Hawaii's most renowned hotels is the Kahala Mandarin. Set in the upper class community of Kahala and Aina Haina, the Mandarin is an established legend for tourists and locals alike.

The Mandarin Hotel in Kahala, Hawaii is known by pretty much everyone for its relaxing amenities and high-class treatments for its visitors. My grandmother always references the Kahala Mandarin when it comes to luxury and class.

My love and I like to stroll around the hotel, which is open to guests and interested locals, and take photos of the area. The Mandarin sits right on the beach coast of the south shore in Oahu, so the waves are mostly calm and clear blue. It’s simply beautiful.

The hotel’s room opens right up to the semi-private beach that is included on the hotel’s land. However, if you’re sneaky and quiet enough, you can trek through the beach and stroll along to the part of the sand that is reserved for guests only. Talk about taking Lomography to the next level! However, we spoke to the security guards a bit and they didn’t question our photography taking on the area.

The shore at the Mandarin can be a bit cluttered sometimes, depending on the tide. The water can bring in some leaves and small brush, but nothing large. Overall, the beach is very family friendly and we saw many families relaxing together and swimming around.

The Mandarin is located on a very extensive and manicured area, as well as being a great small hideout for vacationing. The luxury seems to seep and exude out of the beautiful beach, and will make anyone feel immediately in paradise.
