A Cinematic Celebration in Austin!

Join us at the Lomography Gallery Store Austin for a gala event as we screen Apichatpong's film "Ashes". Apichatpong, a Thai independent director, has created his artful work completely with the LomoKino, and its debut at the Cannes Film Festival is a cause for celebration!

WHAT: Screening of Apichatpong’s LomoKino-made film “Ashes” and LomoKino MUBI launch party!

We’ll enjoy popcorn, champagne, and introduce to you the new LomoKino MUBI edition, to boot. Don’t miss out on your chance to glimpse a piece of beautiful analogue art and welcome the LomoKino MUBI to the Lomography family!

Film Artist and Light Show Host Julian Hand

Julian Hand is a film artist and visual projectionist for our latest LomoAmigos The Oscillation. He uses traditional analogue techniques to create swirling, trippy and beautifully tactile films and light shows. He uses Super 8 film, coloured inks, washing up liquid, soap and acetate to create these images and visuals. He embraces all things analogue! I brought an LC-A+, some 1600 ISO film and captured him at work.
