FGS Dong Zen Temple

5

Ever since the FGS Dong Zen (whose roots in Taiwan) temple completed its construction in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat, it has became a famous hotspot for both tourists and local Malaysians during Chinese festive seasons.

Well, Malaysia is known as a multi-racial country. We celebrate several ‘new years’ in a year. Malay’s Hari Raya, Chinese’s Chinese New Year and Indian’s Deepavali. (yay! it means holidays! =P) So, the FGS Dong Zen Temple, located in Selangor, Malaysia has always been a great place to hang out during Chinese New Year. Additional lanterns, flora festivals, floats and cultural exhibitions are staged during the period of Chinese New Year. Not to forget the super yummy vegetarian food that they serve, it is seriously worth the try! (especially for a vegetarian food lover, like me!)

One fact to make everyone happy here, several things in the Dong Zen Temple are free. yay, you got me right. FREE! free parking, free admissions, free washrooms, and if you come during Chinese New Year, you may get a lot of freebies too!
For visitors, it’s suggested to pay a visit at night. This is because at night, the festivities transformed the Dong Zen Temple into a magical wonderland.

Well well, it’s not only happening during the Chinese New Year. It is crowded even during other festivals like Mooncake Festival, Wesak Day etc etc. What are you waiting for? the Mooncake Festival is approaching! Grab your lomo cameras and head to FGS Dong Zen Temple now! =D
