It is located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. The park officially opened last May. The area is about 20 hectares in size. The park is open to the public all-year round.

The park is divided into different themed-zones, “Hollywood”, “New York”, “Sci-Fi City”, “Ancient Egypt”, “The Lost World”, “Far Far Away”, and “Madagascar”. Each themed-zone has its own unique landscape design and different fun rides. There is a big Universal Globe in front of the entrance. This is a unique sign of Universal Studios.

Once you step in the entrance, you’re now in Hollywood. Get ready to meet Hollywood stars! Don’t miss the chance to meet Po from Kung Fu Panda, Woody Woodpecker, Charlie Chaplin, Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe, and so on. There are two rows of shops which are retail shops and F&B outlets.

Walking counter clockwise, you will enter New York. This area is based on the original New York City. Remember to catch the show hosted by Steven Spielberg, and enjoy the incredible hurricane that hit New York City.

The next area is Sci-Fi City. The famous Transformers characters can be found here. Everyone is just crazy about Optimus Prime when he comes around, standing with his fans and taking a photo together. The new ride, Transformers: The Ride, is the first in the world and premiered in Singapore in 2011. The ride combines 3D visuals, superb sound effects with stunning robotics. The biggest challenge in Universal Studios Singapore is Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs CYLON. These are two different roller coasters – seated and inverted. Try out the two and enjoy the speed and height of the roller coasters.

Go further and you will see Ancient Egypt. The amazing statues of Ancient Egypt stands there to welcome you upon your arrival.

The following area is the famous The Lost World. Dinosaurs are there waiting for you, to roar at you, and to eat you. Just joking. The fake dinosaurs won’t eat you and hurt you, just touch them and take a photo with them. The other attraction in this area is Waterworld. This is a live show, which is based on the film “Waterworld”. Just a kind reminder, if you don’t wish to get wet, please sit far away from the water arena.

Shrek!! Here I come! Far, Far, Away is the home of Shrek and Princess Fiona. Far, Far, Away Castle and Shrek’s Swamp can be found here. Shrek and Princess Fiona are both around to meet their fans.

The last will be Madagascar. This area is based on the animated film of the same name. Alex, Gloria, Marty, and Melman are all here to welcome you. Start the journey with them through their fun rides.

Universal Studios Singapore is a place for the family. Visit it and get to meet your favorite characters. Take on the rides if you dare. Are you ready?
