An Alternative Lens Cap for Lomo Fisheye Cameras

7

Is the loose Fisheye rubber lens cap hitting one of your nerves? Do you almost always see it removed from your Fisheye? Don't fret, read on!

Credits: feelux

Everytime I put my Fisheye No. 2 in my bag, I almost always see its rubber lens cap away from the lens.

One odd day, I noticed that the Fisheye lens has room for a lens cap, and I started wondering whether a lens cap would indeed fit the Fisheye lens.

One normal day, I decided to check out our local supplier of random things: CD-R King, and check out if any of their lens cap would fit the Fisheye’s lens…and one DID!

Materials:

-A Lomo Fisheye
-A 49mm lens cap

Squeeze the retractable sides of the lens cap and put it on the Fisheye lens. TADA!

The lens cap that I got fits perfectly! Just remember to remove it before shooting!

Lomo on!

Pushing Boundaries: Multiple Exposing Film Soup

As you may have read in my previous article, I truly fell in love with Lomography when I combined my Fisheye camera with an old Canon AE-1 for magical photographic results. Last summer, I took so many pictures of flowers that it started to become almost boring for me. My waning interest and the coming winter meant that I had to figure out something else to do with my 35mm film.

There are many possible reasons for taking pictures. It could be to document an event, to capture breathtaking scenery, to preserve a fond memory, or simply, to have a snapshot of someone close to your heart. And for lomographers, nothing beats the feeling of having that story unfold in your hand, in the form of a print. If you want a quick keepsake from that treasured moment or a snapshot of that special someone though, you can have it instantly, through Lomo'Instant Stories!
