Earlier in the month, a group of Chicago based Lomographers took a trip to the zoo! With our trusty cameras guiding the way, we took it all in and had a great day!
We covered a lot of ground and a went through a lot of film on that chilly Sunday afternoon. The giraffes mesmerized us and the meerkats made us smile. With our cameras clicking away we captured the true beauty of the animals.
The best part was the conservatory! The beautiful blooms of flowers and bright green leaves were a photographers dream come true. It was enough beauty to last a life time… or at least until next time!
We've got a great month of workshops and events planned for the month of August. The perfect way to end this beautiful summer in Chicago! So grab your cameras (or borrow from us) and let's take some pictures!
This month's LomoAmigo from Turkey is Ah! Kosmos AKA Başak Günak. She took the La Sardina with her when she went to perform in Punkurika Festival in Budapest, along with her Lomo LC-A. We had a nice chat with Başak about her La Sardina adventures, before her Ah! Kosmos "über" performance with Övünç Dan ve Gizem Aksu at the Lomography Embassy Store Istanbul.
In celebration of the mindblowing solar eclipse we had the other day, we ran a competition and asked you to tag your analogue photos centered around our great big yellow friend! Check out the winners now!
St. George's Day was sunny and full of energy this year. A group of Morris dancers graced us with their presence around Soho, and we took the chance to do an impromptu shoot with our favorite cameras just outside the Lomography Gallery Store!
Horse Thief was one of the bands we worked with during CMJ Music Marathon. This Oklahoma-based band came all the way to NYC to play in tone of the world's biggest indie music festivals. We gave them a Fisheye camera too, so they could capture their trip around the Big Apple.
We had a staggering 1110 entries to this rumble. We have picked our way through all of them and were very inspired by the quality of all your photos! It was a real challenge narrowing it down to just 3 winners. Find out who won this great competition.
The story between the Spinner 360 and I goes way back to the year 2010, when Lomography decided to send me a beta model of the Spinner 360 to test. It was a complete surprise!
