Moab, Utah

A perfect town for the bold and the adventure seekers.

In the south western part of Utah, there is a small but vibrant town full of young and adventurous people. This is the perfect town for the free spirits who love nature and the outdoors. Just before arriving to the town, I started seeing campgrounds along the Colorado River, and bikers and hikers enjoying the beautiful scenery of the place. Then I saw a big sign that read: “Welcome to Moab, where the adventure begins!”

On my visit to Moab, I stayed at the popular “Lazy Lizard Hostel”, where I met some amazing people from all over the world. When I visited I did not see a lot of Americans here. Instead, I saw a lot of tourists from Europe who were into wild adventures and outdoor experiences. Almost everybody who visits Moab, plans to stay here for at least a week to get to know the area thoroughly. The town is very touristy, full of hotels, restaurants, and RV stations. Something very typical about Moab is that almost everybody is driving jeeps, 4 wheel drives or RVs, which makes you want to go out there and experience every single corner of the town.

Moab has stunning red rock landscapes and two major national parks. It also has numerous trails and rides including Slick Rock Bike Trail, which is considered by many the ultimate mountain biking experience. Also, I heard that Moab has an exciting nightlife, which I didn’t have the chance to enjoy because after a day of wild adventures, all you want to do is to collapse in bed! If you visit, I highly recommend to arrive by the scenic drive Highway 128, take plenty of film, and prepare yourself to have the time of your life!

ahh so good to see Utah put on the Map, My dad used to live over there near Moab and i spent a great deal of my childhood travelling over to there from herefordshire, england, could never quite get used to the culture or scenery change! still can't! from green forest hills and farms, to red rocky mountains, volcanos and salt plains hahahaha
