Our good friends at Trend Hunter spent the afternoon at the Lomography Gallery Store Toronto last Friday April the 13th. They had a blast attending our Andy Warhol multilens workshop. To add a twist to that, we clever folk at the Lomography Gallery Store Toronto turned the workshop into a scavenger hunt and set the hunters loose on the streets of Toronto. Read on to see what went down!
Trend Hunter is the world’s largest, most popular trend community with a hefty 37,000,000 monthly views! Trend Hunter is “a place for insatiably curious people to share ideas and get inspired” as founder Jeremy Gutsche likes to put it. With their head office located in Toronto, TH has been at many of our events and are great fans of Lomography. It was only fitting to have them come in for a Trend Hunter Fun Day hosted by our LGS Toronto.
Starting off with the Andy Warhol tutorial, store staff Mike gave a bit of history to Warhol and his art. He then taught the Trend Hunters how to modify the ActionSampler, SuperSampler, Oktomat and pop9 to create that same effect with their photographs. This was done by placing colour gels over top of each lens on the ActionSampler, SuperSampler and Oktomat. Once everyone was familiar with their trusty Lomography cameras, they all headed out into the sun and started snapping away on the list of scavenger hunt items. Not long after, our winners, Tim and Andrew, returned with victory in their hands… and a whole lot of earned respect!

The SuperSampler, the queen of multilensed cameras, is now in bright blue. It takes four sequential panoramic shots on a single, action-packed 35mm photo. See all SuperSampler colours and designs in our Shop!
