Fancy a day at the beach? Maybe Scheveningen is the place for you: You can go swimming or windsurfing, even bungee-jumping is possible at the pier. Or just get some ice cream and hang out in the sun or take a walk in the dunes.
Around the pier is where the action is: there’s various restaurants and bars, both on the promenade and directly at the beach. This is also where the big events take place, like big fireworks in summer.
If you’re not a fan of big crowds and like it a bit more quiet, walk up north and you’ll soon find yourself on a beautiful beach almost all to yourself (i was there in on a Saturday in June and there was hardly anyone else!); you can also take great walks through the dunes and take some beautiful shots there (just stick to the paths!).
The best thing is that Scheveningen is really close to the city center of The Hague, you can just hop on a bus or a tram and it’ll take you there in no time. So it’s the perfect place to combine a beach holiday with a city-trip!
Whether you’re lounging at a park, swimming at the beach, strolling through city streets or relaxing with friends over a cup of coffee, the New Petzval 58 is the perfect companion. Have a little taste of what it's like in this new video!
The Lomography Embassy Store of Prague is the place to be for Lomographers from all over the world! If you live in Prague, or even if you are just traveling around and need to buy some new Lomographic accessories, come and stop by to say hi!
Browsing through the Lomography website, you can find a lot of redscale shots, which are all done on color negative films. I asked myself if it’s possible to redscale a slide or chrome film and then cross process it. (And yes, it is.) In this tipster I’m going to teach you how to create the bloodiest homemade redscale film I've ever come across.
You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!
