Situated at the highest point in Paris, The Sacre-Couer (or the The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris) is an extremely popular tourist destination in the city and deservedly so. The Sacre-Coeur was a surprising hit destination for me in Paris - although I knew it was popular and had heard and read a lot about it, I underestimated its beauty and the area that surrounded it.
The Sacre-Coeur itself is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus built of travertine stone which is bright white and looks glorious in the sunshine. As well as having amazing views from the top of the hill that look across the entire city, the hill also hosts a perfect place to have your lunch and soak in the atmosphere of Montmartre.
Although it was busy at the time we visited, I actually liked that the area had a buzz to it, the other tourists were excited to be there and so was I.
Les Bleus may have been booted out of the World Cup by Germany, but for me France is always a winner. The number of places to go around Paris, especially, can never be exhausted: the Eiffel Tower, Sacré Cœur, the Seine, the Arc de Triomphe, and this time, I fell in love with the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise.
Situated along the banks of the Ganges, the vibrant city of Varanasi is one of the most important in Hinduism. It is where pilgrims flock to wash their sins in the waters of the great river and hold sacred rituals. During a trip a few years back, flyaway was able to capture scenes unique to this city on film.

When I was a child, I regularly went to Blaavand, located at the Danish west coast, with my brothers and parents. I stopped going there as I grew up. In 2012 however, we hit the road again. It was my first return visit in about 20 years. I took the chance and packed as many cameras as possible into my luggage. In part two of my journey log, I'm going to show you the pictures I took with my Lomography cameras.

Durham is a beautiful but tiny university city in the north of England famous for its amazing cathedral, which is one of Britain's best loved buildings. When I was studying at the university, I loved to go for crisp, autumnal walks around the cathedral and the river, kicking the leaves and basking in the golden glow of the season. The Lomography Redscale film perfectly captures the beauty of this time of year.
In summer last year, my sister and her lover exchanged "I do's" after five colorful years of happiness and making future plans. It was the perfect occasion to grab some of my cameras and eternalize one of the most beautiful days not only of her life, but also mine.
