With the Fisheye Lens for the Diana+, you can peer through the eyehole of your door and imagine a circular world inside your camera!
I had just bought a digital SLR camera when a series of circumstances made me change course. My cousin encouraged me to get a profile in a famous photography webpage where I started to show my humble pictures and learnt by watching others. A particular kind of photography caught my eye and the Exif info said fisheye lens .
I started looking for some lens for my new camera when I suddenly saw on TV (can’t remember if it was a documentary) the curious section of a newscast or a lomo-workshop advert about Lomography. And what the hell is lomography?. A whole world of colour was just a click away through the Lomography website. When I saw toy cameras with fisheye lenses, I thought that this world of perfection with reflex cameras, favourite photos, limits and conventionality was not made for me.
Once, I went to Madrid and I couldn’t resist the charm of the Diana+ and its Fisheye Lens. The kind shop assistant (makny) loaded (thanks!) my first film roll. I wanted to use my Fisheye lens for the first time, but as a beginner I was afraid of changing the lens in case it fogged. I finished the whole film and I went to the shop. With endless patience the shop assistant easily changed the lens. And finally I got my first fisheye photos.
And that’s how I got hooked on lomography. The 20mm fisheye lens changes reality, giving you a 180º view with which you get a round image in a square shot.
It has three focusing settings:
1. From 0.3 to 1m
2. From 1 to 2m
3. From 2m to infinity
I like using this lens with the Diana+ 35mm Back and also with the Diana+ Instant Back , not just because it helps you not chop people’s heads, but also because of the curved line effect. Things are elongated and converge in the centre. A great depth of field makes it all clear.
With the Diana+ 20mm Fisheye Lens, you can have a circular image on a square print. Get 180-degree images with the signature dreamy and soft-focused qualities of the iconic Diana camera using the Diana+ 20mm Fisheye Lens. Available in our Shop.
