One of our very own lomographers has recently showcased some of his chosen film photographs for the first time in Japan. Read about him and his recently concluded successful exhibit after the jump!
Eric Luk Ho Man, a Hong Kong-based graphic designer and amateur photographer/lomographer, recently held a successful exhibit for the first time in Tokyo, Japan. From February 17 to 26, Eric’s “as time goes by exhibit” featured some of his best film photographs taken using toy cameras and vintage cameras. It was the first time for our lomographer to showcase his works in Tokyo, Japan.
Eric, who goes by the LomoHome ericeast, first showcased his film photographs in Hong Kong in mid-July 2010, supported by petit morpho. Later, he was invited by a group of Polaroid enthusiasts collectively called Mint to take part in a couple of instant photography exhibitions. He took part in “Men Photo Exhibition” in August 2011 and shared some of his photography concepts and creative ideas. Later in the year, he was invited by Lomography Gallery Store Hong Kong to hold a solo exhibit and share his knowledge and shooting style using film.
We would like to share with everyone some photos from Eric’s “as time goes by” exhibit in Tokyo’s Gallery Sequel. Look closely and you’ll see a Lomography camera documenting the event!

You want your subject be the center of attention? Petzval lens photos are recognizable for sharpness and crispness in the centre, strong color saturation, wonderful swirly bokeh effect, artful vignettes and narrow depth of field that will make your subjects stand out!

Not long after Alex Timmermans purchased his first digital camera at the turn of the century, he quickly realized the trappings of digital photography couldn't fulfill his personal photographic desires. He then began searching for a more challenging process — one that wasn't so predictable. His journey eventually landed him back at the roots of analogue photography, specifically employing the wet plate collodion process using original Petzval lenses. This antique photographic process found in him a renewed inspiration and has since become his passion, which is evident in both his words and his images.
Done shooting and want your films to be processed? We can process your colour and black & white 35mm, 120 or 110 films! Development, prints and scans are also included. (Service availability depends on your markets)
