Piñata Gallery Presents Aaron Brown's 'Hellhounds'

Previously, we interviewed Aaron Brown, one of the directors of Arctic Monkeys' music video which was shot in Super8. 'Hellhounds' is his photography exhibition. Know more about it right after the break.

Hellhounds is a series of journalistic images based on the idea of demons and other supernatural entities that stir fear or anxiety and has driven artists from Robert Johnson to Robert Altman. The photographs, all taken of the subject’s backs, are united in theme: as if seen from the hound’s perspective.”

Some noteworthy artists featured are Trae Tha Truth, Arctic Monkeys, Cass McCombs, Christopher Owens (Girls), John Holland (Salem), Stephen Shore, Twista, Neon Indian, Freddie Gibbs, Alexis Penny, Chet JR White (Girls), Seth Bogart (Hunx and His Punx), William Eggelston, Doug Aitken, Rye Rye, and many others.

Hellhounds is a solo photography exhibition by filmmaker / photographer Aaron Brown of Focus Creeps which will be on display at the Piñata Gallery, located at 1461 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, 90026, on March 15th, 2012 from 7 to 9 PM.
