Lomo Lovers Vol.7: Diana

4

I wanted to start a monthly flick book for the best of lomography out there! The online books center around themes; the previous installments have already featured the legendary LC-A and LC-A+ cameras, medium format cameras, and multi-lens cameras. By popular demand, this month we have gone with a classic--the Diana. The lightweight plastic body, the simple shutter, the colour-dripping lens, and soft-focused surprises: what more could you want from a camera!

The 7th Volume was all about the Diana. The lightweight plastic body, the simple shutter, the colour-dripping lens and soft-focused surprises—what more could you want from a camera?

We featured “inspirational Lomographer” fedV who has extensive knowledge on different film and cameras and another popular Lomography.com regular dazb who showed us how to create fun bokeh techniques. But as always the best part was seeing everyone’s truly inspirational analogue shots!

Next in our on-going series is a special on Kodak after hearing the new about discontinuing film, we thought we would dedicate an issue to Kodak films and cameras! We are also creating a lomo lovers big film swap. Check out my next article to see the results!

We’ve had such a great response that we have continued creating the online book. I’m always looking for submissions—after all, I have about 70 pages to fill with great photography every month!

You don’t have to be a veteran, as we feature new lomographers and seasoned ones every month. We just want to share great pictures. You can enter your submission to our Flickr group or email me at nicnocnoo@hotmail.co.uk with your details: shot, name, camera, film, technique etc.

We are constantly looking for great lomographers to submit their work, so what’s stopping you?

If you liked this post, why don’t you check out other Lomo Lovers articles so far?

12 Months, 12 Projects: July - Freelensing Fun

My 2015 resolution is to do 12 photography projects, one for every month. In July, I tried freelensing or unscrewing the lens from my SLR and holding it in front of the camera body. By tilting the lens slightly I was able to change the focus. For this experiment, I used my Konstruktor and Olympus OM-1.
