A Perfect Affordable Pouch for My Precious LC-Wide!

5

If you are looking for a perfect and affordable pouch that will fit your LC-Wide or LC-A+ perfectly, let me give you an idea after the jump!

I got to know about lomography in 2008, and had used an LC-A which belonged to a friend of mine; since then I got so addicted to the unpredictable result of the photos! After I returned the LC-A to my friend, I so wanted to get myself a lomo camera. Did a lot research on all kinda models, but I just never really get one until LC-Wide came out!

At last, I got myself an LC-Wide this year with my ‘accumulated’ ang-pow money. After I got my LC-Wide, the first thing I wanted to get was a case to protect the camera. Camera cases are not cheap, they cost at least RM30 and above. Then, I started to look around for any bag or casing that fit nicely for LC-Wide with an affordable price. I found one at my favorite 100 yen (RM5) shop in the town, just like their mission to help customers find surprises and fun!

I found a small pouch which fits an LC-Wide or LC-A+ perfectly, made of polyester fabric. It is extremely strong, very durable, hydrophobic in nature and quick drying (it can easily be washed and dried).

What I like so much about this pouch is how the size is perfect for the camera. I just need to put in the camera and zip it up then just dump into my bag. I can bring the camera anywhere without worrying too much about the camera being scratched. The pouch comes in 3 different colors: red, birch, and black. I got the black color which is nice because dirt and stain will not be easily noticeable. Lastly, I like it for the price, as it is cheap for a good quality case!

If you think the pouch is not protective enough for your camera, I found a way to remedy that! What I did was get a washing sponge and cut into the suitable size and put inside the pouch to have more protection for the camera. I hope you guys like my post and enjoy snapping around with your protected lomo cameras!

P.S. Look for other designs and colors too, I even spotted some polka-dotted ones!

I always carry on my cameras in pouches like that one ! And sometimes I fill it with old clothes (instead of washing sponge). It's cheap and works well.

Useful Guidelines on Shooting with Ultra Wide Lenses

Wide-angle lens are further divided into sub-classifications: Wide, ultra-wide and ultra-ultra-wide. Based on current standards, wide lenses for 35mm cameras are those with focal lengths ranging from 24 to 35mm. Lenses are considered ultra-wide if they have focal lengths from 17 to 21 mm, and ultra-ultra-wide if from 12 to 16mm. The New Russar+ is a 20mm lens; hence it falls under the ultra-wide classification. If you have an ultra-wide lens or if you intend to get the Russar+, you might as well make the most out of your precious investment. Read on for a few guidelines on shooting with ultra-wide lenses.
