Braving the Winter Cold at the Manchester Lomo Meet Up

In the cold winter month of February, a group of Lomographers bravely traveled and met in Manchester to take photos, chat about cameras, and make new friends...and luckily for us, it even snowed!

Having only been to Manchester a few times in the summer, I was amazed by how different the city looked in the winter, it seemed to suit it though I thought – like a lot of the places in the north of England.

Although it snowed heavily and suddenly, we weren’t put off and some of those in the group even took part in a snowball fight in the square, which led to some interesting photo results from other Lomographers. Overall I think I prefer England in the summer, but our little trip to Manchester was definitely memorable and fun…if a bit cold.

The Lomo LC-A is the camera that started the Lomography movement. With full controls and wide ISO range, this automatic gem is perfect for beginners and professionals alike. Get your own Refurbished LC-A in our Shop!

This summer, we gave them a New Petzval lens to use in capturing their wonderful gatherings of people, food, drink and nature. We then got the opportunity to chat with Martin Fetz who runs the organization about what they do and their experiences shooting with the Petzval.
