9

This week, we pay tribute to arguably, one of the best actresses of all time, Elizabeth Taylor. And you know what that means, another rumble! Read on for more information on how to join...

Today would have marked Dame Elizabeth Taylor’s 80th birthday. As part of our weekly tribute, we have written a series of articles dedicated to the late actress. And in keeping spirit of this, we present a simple rumble inspired by one of her famous features.

They say the eyes are the window to a person’s soul. I don’t know about you, but I would definitely say with eyes like Elizabeth Taylor, they would surely lead you to my heart. Having violet eyes, double eyelashes, and killer brows, Liz captivated the hearts of many with her trademark feat. So with that said, we would like you to submit photos showcasing your twinkly eyes! That’s right! Captivate our hearts and you win Piggies! The five best ones will receive 10 Piggies each.

Details:

  • Prize(s): 5 winners of 10 piggies each. All winners will receive a special award badge straight to their LomoHomes.
  • Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated.
  • Upload Limit: 2 photos
  • Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height.
  • Meta data must be completed (camera, film, location & 3 tags).
  • Deadline of submission is on March 15, 2011.

A Salute to the Masters: Ducks (A Tribute to Henri Cartier-Bresson)

This article is dedicated to arguably one of the most famous street photographers in the world, Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004). On this occasion, I felt obliged to write a tribute to this great artist whom I consider the "Mozart of Photography." His photos are inimitable, and to try to reproduce his innate sense of composition, harmony, and choice of the right moment is but an illusion. So I chose an unusual way to pay tribute, the only way possible for me. Take a look!
